DUO Service
The Duo Service is without doubt one of the Metal Bank’s most important services. It lets you activate availability in euros without necessarily selling the gold you have in storage. Easy and immediate, it requires no paperwork or formalities, saving you time in obtaining the availability you need.
The DUO service lets the client activate liquidity in euros by pledging part of their gold deposit as collateral.

Processes
Activating the DUO service
The client can activate the DUO service by selecting the deposit plan they wish to pledge as collateral
Availability ratio
The amount actually available is the percentage provided by the membership activated. IMPORTANT. LIBERTY and EXPLORER do not allow the DUO service to be activated
Activation cost
DUO has a fixed activation cost that will be deducted from the gold deposit.
DUO service maintenance cost
To keep the DUO service active, the system applies a proportional cost of up to 9%. This amount must be paid on 2 January each year and when the DUO service is first activated.
Repayment of the sums used
The sums used must be repaid in full in order to release the deposit plan from the lock-in.
Value of the collateral
DUO blocks access to the plan at 100% of the value requested as availability. If we request 10,000 euros, the system blocks twice that value, €20,000 in gold.
Selecting the Deposit Plan
You cannot select the plan partially. When you select the plan, you activate the collateral on the selected plan. In any event, it is possible to select proportional availability in relation to the storage plan selected.
Cost of the service
*The maintenance cost is proportional, with a maximum of 9% of the liquidity requested.
Important notice
The DUO service is not a loan and is not subject to interest. It is a service that provides availability in euros against the gold pledged as collateral when the service is activated.
